FAQ: One person has pulled out. What is the process for refunding and downgrading?

If someone pulls out of the booking, for whatever reason, the cancellation fees still apply to that portion of the booking/downgrade, which are:

  • Outside 30 days from date of Your Pre-Trek Date: 30% cancellation fee
  • 30 days or less from the date of Your Pre-Trek Date: 50% cancellation fee
  • 15 days or less from the date/time of Your Pre-Trek Date: 70%
  • 7 days or less from the date/time of Your Pre-Trek Date: 100%

There is no Booking Modification Fee (BMF) applied to any downgrades.

An example:

If you booked a E2E Troika Express ($1070) and one hiker pulled out 30 days before pre-trek, and you needed to downgrade to an E2E Duo Express ($760), the 30% cancellation fee would apply to the downgrade difference ($310).

  • -30% of $310 = $93
  • Refund: $217
