Can we charter your vehicles and drivers?Yes. You would be hiring out the whole vehicle, its equipment ( i.e. satellite communications, safety/medical kit, vehicle recovery gear etc), the driver, and related standby support services, so it’s not going to be cheap and can cost between $700-$1500 per day. But our vehicles and staff come fully equipped and serviced for almost any transfer type or task. You can charter by the hour, day, night or 24-hour block.

Do you do pick ups late at night or early in the morning?Yes. We can do transfers at any time in the 24 hour period. However, the costs increase substantially outside our standard transfer period 7am-4pm. You could expect to pay an extra 40% more for transfers between 7pm-11pm or up 60% more for transfers from midnight to 5 am plus after hour call-out fees which range from $150 to $350 depending on the circumstances of your pick up needs.

Do you do transfers from other locations along the Larapinta Trail or WestMacs?Yes. We can drop off or pick up people via vehicle anywhere in the national park as long as we can access the locations and/or are authorised to access these locations. Some of the uncommon places we have dropped people off include Wallaby Gap, Rocky Bar Gap and Geoff Moss Bridge. Broadly, we can, and often do, transfers anywhere in Central Australia, most commonly to different national parks such as Trephina Gorge NP, Finke River NP and Davenport Ranges and from any remote area location.

How many people can you take in your vehicles?Pre-COVID we could take 8 people in the HiAce and 5 in the 4WD and we use pre-selected subcontractors when we have an overflow. During the COVID period in 2020 we reduced our passenger capacity by 50% to ensure people could distance from each other. In 2021 capacity in the vehicles is going back to normal.

I'm doing the E2E. Is the transfer from or to Telegraph Station included in my trek package? No, it is not included. We don't do transfers to or from Telegraph Station as it's in conflict with the taxis and as such our licensing doesn't permit us to do transfers there. You will need to make your own way there from town or your own way back. Most hikers use the Riverside Walk to get to Telegraph Station from town ( or walk into town after their trek), about a 4km from CBD Alice Springs.

What happens if I am late for my transfers?Generally there is a 10 minute window for the pick up times, meaning if the pick up is at 11am and you're not there latest by 11:10am, you're likely to miss your ride. The specifics are in your Booking Terms and Conditions. If you're not there at the exact pick up time, we'll check with the other passengers if they saw you at the trailhead that morning/midday/afternoon, if the answers is no, we'll have a quick look around.

What if I need an earlier or later pick up while I'm on the trail? While on the trail you can request an earlier or later pick up date and in most instances, we can do it if we are heading out that day and if we have room in the vehicles. There is no extra fee or cost to do so if your pick up location hasn't changed. When it's busy in June, July and August, it can be a bit complicated with availability though, and we can't help with as many requests for earlier or later pick up changes as much as we would like to.

What time is my transfer pick up and drop off?Your pick up and drop off times are shown on your booking form. You choose the date and time of your booking and this is confirmed with a booking confirmation email sent to you at the time of your booking. Always check your booking confirmation that is emailed to you to see what you booked. Why can't we book transfers to Telegraph Station? At this stage, we don't offer transfers to Alice Springs Telegraph Station as it is in conflict with the taxis and were not permitted to do so. Most hikers just walk in from town using the pleasant Riverside Walk which takes about 45min-1hr depending on where you are staying in town, or they catch a cab which costs about $10-20 and takes about 10-15 minutes
